AABOR Spring 2026 Meeting Slide Show
February 27, 2026
As is tradition, the conference began Thursday with the Dutch Treat Dinner hosted by State Auditor Andrew Sorrell and his Chief of Staff Hope Scarborough. Registrars, staff, family, and friends once again enjoyed gathering at Coastal for good food and camaraderie. The Sorrell/Scarborough team is always appreciated for taking the time to arrange this fellowship opportunity.
Registrars from across the state gathered early Friday morning, February 27th at the Orange Beach Hampton Inn for a full day of training, mentorship, and networking. Distinguished guest speakers included Secretary of State Chief of Staff Clay Helms, Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries Rick Pate, State Auditor Andrew Sorrell, and Alabama State Representative Frances Holk-Jones. AABOR was also honored by the presence of several public servants and candidates for public office who stopped by throughout the conference to visit with the Registrar community.
Relevant and timely training by Education Committee members Lisa Treglia, Debbie Price, Pam Rogers and Suzanne Johnson, ES&S Customer Support Engineer Debra Howard, Secretary of State Supervisor of Voter Registration Candace Payne, and the KCS team brought fresh insights and skill building to new and veteran Registrars alike.
