Thursday night Registrars attended the traditional State Auditor’s Dutch Treat Dinner at Catfish House in Millbrook, this year co-hosted by State Auditor Sorrell’s wife Hannah, their beautiful daughters Liberty and Glory, and Chief of Staff Hope Scarborough.
The Friday session at the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries began with speeches by special guests Secretary of State Wes Allen, Agriculture Commissioner Rick Pate, and State Auditor Andrew Sorrell. Guest speaker Representative Debbie Wood (District 38) who carried the 2025 Registrar pay raise bill, spoke with attendees about the legislative process and emphasized the importance of the Registrar mission from the unique perspective of someone who won election by only six votes.
